The centre expands the firm’s legal delivery services, which are primarily delivered through Pinsent Masons Vario, and forms part of the firm’s efforts to remain competitive in a changing international market for legal delivery and managed services.
The Cape Town centre will provide a range of services to Pinsent Masons’ international client base outside of South Africa. These services include administrative support, paralegal services, company secretarial work, legal project management, and legal technology and consulting expertise. The services are intended to support the efficient and effective management of client matters across the firm’s global operations.
The centre is integrated with Pinsent Masons’ international legal teams, allowing clients outside South Africa to benefit from a hybrid service delivery model that combines legal advice with specialist delivery, project management, and technology capabilities.
Matthew Kay, Head of Pinsent Masons Vario and project lead for the establishment of the centre, said the launch reflects the firm’s ongoing focus on evolving how legal services are delivered in response to client needs and market conditions.
While the centre will primarily support client work, it will also provide support to certain internal functions within the firm.
The international delivery centre operates as a separate entity from Pinsent Masons’ existing South African office in Johannesburg. It will not provide services on South African matters or accept local instructions. Pinsent Masons Johannesburg remains the firm’s only office delivering legal services to clients in South Africa.
The Cape Town international delivery centre is open and operational as of Monday, 2 February 2026.
